Cameron Volunteer Fire Department, founded in 1902 as the Mountaineer Hose Company, provides Fire and Rescue services to the citizens and businesses of the City of Cameron, and outlying areas.  The first due coverage area encompasses over 100 square miles of Marshall County (312 sq mi). Along with a county-wide mutual aid agreement, as well as agreements with Wetzel County, WV and Greene County, PA, the total area that services may be rendered is over 400 square miles. The fire company houses 1 engine, 1 rescue/engine, 1 tanker, 1 medium duty rescue, and 1 UTV.  The Cameron VFD fire protection area currently has an ISO rating of 5/5x.  CVFD can be contacted via their facebook page, by phone at 304-686-2411, or email cameronvfd800@gmail.com
